About Us
We are a family run business based in Ardleigh, Essex.
Our director, Chris Potter, started working in the furniture industry in 2005, when he left school and began working as an apprentice for Martin Ecott, who at that time was one of the largest manufacturers of freestanding country pine furniture. Over the next seven years, Chris worked alongside Martin, learning the core skills of cabinetry, until in 2012, when he became foreman of that factory. As the factory foreman, Chris took full control of the made to measure side of the business, where he was responsible for making all of the bespoke orders and fitted furniture.
In 2021, Chris was given the opportunity to take over the entire business as his own, hence the beginning of PotterWoods Furniture Ltd.

At PotterWoods Furniture, we’ve been designing and making outstanding furniture and joinery by hand for over 20 years.
PotterWoods Furniture is a manufacturer of freestanding furniture, ranging from country pine furniture to modern shaker style painted furniture. We stock chests of drawers, dressers, wardrobes, beds, tables and bookcases.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service, resulting in a quality product and supporting you from start to finish.
